Lisa Anne Irwin believes that interdisciplinary, collaborative working invites innovation into any environment, Her passion and skills as a fine artist and designer serve as the primary intersection in the development of her work.
Irwin works as a textile designer and artist in Los Angeles, CA. Born and raised outside of Chicago, IL she developed an interest in behavior towards possessions. Irwin's body of work looks closely at personal relationships to the material world as it exists within the codified space of the "home", she also finds inspiration in Architecture, color theory, signage, Irish and American history, and literature. Prior to moving to Los Angeles, Irwin completed an apprenticeship at the Fabric Workshop and Museum and spent time working in New York, NY and Providence, RI. Irwin graduated with a BFA in Textile Design with Honors from the Rhode Island School of Design.
